Top Notes Choir is a local women's choir based in Downley, High Wycombe and led by West End performer Emma Barr. Our style of music is wide ranging with a repertoire exploring many genres from old time favourites to musicals, religious & spiritual numbers to popular music for all those who have an enthusiasm for singing. Emma & Lisa Cowan first set up the choir in September 2015 when Lisa was look

ing to join a group but couldn't quite find the right one for her in the local area. Emma as an established performer & teacher was delighted to have the chance to bring together local women to share her passion for music & singing, so together they founded, Top Notes! Whilst Emma brings her musical expertise from 15 years in the business (West End, International & Television credits), Lisa brings organisational finesse and general cheerfulness from many years of organising concerts, people & various events. Top Notes seeks to build an intimate group of women interested in singing, who work closely together and who learn & grow as singers/performers both within a choir setting and also as soloists. Rehearsals are often regarded as the highlight of peoples week - time where the focus for each person is on music, laughter & creativity.
