12th and 13th September- save the dates!
Time for a little update on what we have in store at Hickling Scarecrow Festival this year!
This year the theme is H is for Hickling.... which means that all the scarecrows will be something beginning with the letter H !
We will be having a fly past, hopefully both days. Aircraft and times will be confirmed on here a bit closer to the time.
On Saturday 12th we will be having the dog show, this year it will be both morning and afternoon. We sincerely hope that the weather will have cooled down for our 4 legged friends!
On the Sunday we have got the lovely Guide Dogs coming along to give us a demonstration of what they do, so please come along and support them.
As well as all of this there will be the usual array of street entertainment plus a few new bits thrown in as well. You will find refreshments along the way, hot real coffee to warm you up, or cold cans to chill you down. We've thought of everything!
We have chosen two charities to support this year. CoppaFeel! is a breast cancer charity who are specifically aimed at younger people, providing support and education for teenagers and young adults.
Maggie's Nottingham , based at the City hospital in Nottingham provides emotional and practical support to anybody going through cancer as well as offering support to their family.
The entrance fee is unchanged, just £5 per car. We have 3 designated car parks on the edge of the village. Coaches are welcome, but please let us know in advance
