This Christmas follow the rags to riches tale where dreams come true with a special invitation to the Ball. Cinderella is doomed to live unhappily ever after with her two horrible Ugly Sisters, but with the help of her silly friend Buttons and a magical Fairy Godmother all of her dreams come true! This year’s pantomime “The Wizard of Oz” is now on sale for Heywood Sports Village. What better way to celebrate than to see the extension is under way at the Civic! Great to see the steels go up at Heywood Civic Centre as the refurbishment of this special place continues. This extension will support the creation of a new cafe and bar as part of the wider scheme, funded by Rochdale Borough Council and Arts Council England. In addition to the new entrance area, major upgrades to the performance space, including retractable seating, will be introduced alongside improvements to the building's accessibility. This project is scheduled to complete by the end of the year and your incredible new Heywood Civic reopens in spring 2026. Your Trust Rochdale
