A massive thank you to Lancaster City Council.

The festival couldn't happen without a lot of help behind the scenes, and LCC have been brilliant.

From use of the land and car parks, to the loan of cones, to health & safety advice – the festival wouldn't have run as smoothly without this support.

And there it was 10years gone but what a weekend we had.
The sun shines on the good, and the picture shows you the best group of people, all our volunteers without who the festival couldn’t be a success and although I’m biased it is the best.
Just a few more I didn’t have time for yesterday, all our sponsors, Debbie for the perfect no mustard packed lunches , Phil for the photos and social the team of Vikings that organise the encampment, Terry ( Head Viking ) to me for continuing with us and not but last the rest of my organising committee who put up with me.

🛡️ Important Update – Car Park Update

Just a heads up — our blue badge car park is full again this morning, and traffic into the village is very busy.

We know this is frustrating, and we’re really sorry for the inconvenience. Please don’t head into the village expecting a space — our volunteers are on site helping direct traffic and point people towards alternatives.

What a Day One! ⚔️🛡️

The village came alive today with battles, crafts, and an incredible atmosphere - thank you to everyone who came down to join us! From the living encampment to the market stalls, it's been brilliant seeing so many familiar faces (and plenty of new ones too).

Huge thanks to our volunteers, traders, and reenactors who make this festival what it is.

Day Two is tomorrow, 10.30am–4.30pm - same village green, same warm welcome. Entry is FREE, as always, thanks to our sponsors and your generous donations. If you'd like to help keep the Viking spirit alive for years to come, donations are always appreciated 🙏
