The last show of the season at Backroads features Canadian blues duo Campbell & Johnston on Friday, July 10.

Well, that went fast. Four more tickets sold. I have left two on sale but we are effectively s0ld out.
A full gig takes up pretty much all the spare parking spaces in the street. So if you can’t find one: Turn right out of the close onto Bentley Road and, if necessary, turn next right. That is Edmunds Road and there is a footpath just at the start of it through to the car park in Lawrence Close.
Do NOT park on the Ridgeway (i.e. turn left off Bentley Road) as you will get a ticket.

Music tonight from Oklahoma songstress Carter Sampson. There are three official tickets left plus a couple that people can no longer use. So turning up on the night is ok (remember it’s an early one, doors at 5:30, music at 6:30). But it would be even better if you could just drop me a text to let me know you’re coming — 07910 141791. Just about a month until we welcome to Backroads on Wednesday, June 17. The Oklahoma-born, award-winning singer songwriter will be playing solo for us. She has released six studio albums, most recently GOLD.

Please note, this show starts earlier than usual due to England playing in the World Cup that evening, so it will be doors at 5:30 and music from 6:30. Anyone who wants to watch the football as well and can't get home for the 9 p.m. kickoff is welcome to watch it here.

Robert Vincent and Anna Corcoran (a duo rather than a trio due to a family emergency) storming a sold-out Backroads last night. This song, “You Wouldn’t Let It”, was one Rob said he hadn’t sung in years, but after a few moments discussing what key it was in, they did it no problem.
