A lovely Saturday hosting a hen do workshop 🤍 We had lots of fun rummaging through papers, choosing threads and making gorgeous Japanese bound journals 🍃🤍✂️✏️

Join us on bank holiday Monday as we celebrate the end of the summer holidays with a colourful morning of carnival-themed creativity!

We’ll make colour popping carnival masks or headbands, personalised festival flags, friendship bracelets and one giant Wonder Den Summer 2026 Celebration Banner. Plus, glitter and gem festival faces, a carnival scavenger hunt and music!

Date: Monday 31st August 2026 (Summer Bank Holiday)
Time: 10:00am–11:30am
Location: The Mill House, Hertford, SG13 7JY
Suggested age: 2–10 years

Our workshops are relaxed, welcoming and designed for children to create at their own pace. Grown-ups are encouraged to join in the crafty fun or relax with a tea or coffee.

Taking a little creativity wherever we go 🥰🎨 I popped in a little watercolour set and paper last minute amongst uno, dobble and all the usual holiday bits! We found some rocks cove hopping one day and had fun painting those too.

Back next week, then a little last minute op for Edie and workshop prep ready for workshop week the week after!

We popped up with our circus themed colouring cube and lots of lovely junk modelling and mindfulness draw-alongs in the wonderful sunshine ☀️

Something lovely happened last week. A little while back, and I went into Ott's school, we ran a printing workshop with KS1 and a design talk with KS2. I didn't think anything of it (and completely forgot to share what we'd done!) until a parent came up to me last week and said her son loved it, we'd fully inspired him and he now wants to be a designer. How wonderful is that, such a lovely little boost, that's what its all about 🥹

‘Paint the things you love’ - David Hockney 💛 Edie took this of my Mum and I just a couple of weeks ago in front of DHs amazing window at Turner Contemporary

His incredible use of colour, his portraits, the way he makes painting look effortless. Then the way he pivoted in lockdown and went digital!

Plus, all the memories around seeing his work - meeting my mum and friends at his exhibitions over the years, being inspired and uplifted by all the colour - amazing 🤩
