The Bay Collage Club After studying Illustration at Falmouth College of Arts and graduating in 2003, I pursued a successful career in Digital Project Management.

With a passion for creativity and a love for all things collage, artist Alison Drewett founded The Bay Collage Club, a welcoming space in Herne Bay, Kent, where art enthusiasts can come together to create and socialise with like-minded individuals. In 2020, I rediscovered my creative talents and focused on a full time career in art with a specialism in collage. Since founding my studio in Herne Ba

y I have used magazines and recycled materials to build up an extensive portfolio of unique collage works, often depicting landmarks along the Kent coast. I also share my love of collage in the form of regular workshops, suitable for all levels from complete beginners to experienced artists. Studio open by appointment only.

As our club evolves, we need to reconsider our online presence and have made the decision to move away from Instagram and Facebook. Instead, we are excited to focus on new ventures, including the future launch of a YouTube channel, where we’ll share creative demonstrations and engaging challenges.

We’re absolutely delighted to shine a spotlight on one of our talented supporters of The Bay Collage Club! 🎉

Meet Sam Glynn, who has been diligently working on a long-term magazine project that beautifully illustrates her journey with collage art. 🦙✨

“I got back into collage art through The Bay Collage Club. This piece is of one of my favourite animals, made from an old calendar I received one Christmas. I started with the sky, then added the grass around a drawn-on body and legs. The pieces were random shapes, and I focused on alternating colours throughout. It took a while, but I did it in stages, and it was rewarding and good for my mental health.” - Sam Glynn, Author of Voice for Anxiety.

From stunning interpretations of landmarks to bold, minimalist designs inspired by railway posters and A.M. Cassandre, our talented members really embraced the theme.
