Another productive day in the studio, carving more ā€˜Small Hugsā€™ for my lovely customers. Definitely a labour of love! šŸ’›

I canā€™t thank you all enough for your support and encouragement. It really does keep me going through the ups and downs of an artistā€™s life.

Every time I finish one and see it ready to go off to its new home, Iā€™m reminded just how lucky I am to be able to make these little sculptures for people. šŸ„°

'Small Hug- Carrara Edition'

A limited edition in Carrara marble, coming soon...

A first glimpse...

I've been wanting to carve Small Hug in Italian Carrara marble for a long time, and the first one is now complete.

This will be the first Carrara Edition, limited to just 12 hand-carved sculptures. The remaining eleven blanks are cut and waiting on the bench, ready to be transformed over the coming weeks, each revealing its own unique character as the carving progresses.

I'll be sharing the journey from raw marble to finished sculpture before the edition is released.

I'm excited to be taking part in H.Art this year at the wonderful Stockton Bury Gardens!

As usual, H.Art - Herefordshire Art Week - will run throughout the 2nd week in September, at venues up and down the county, and is always a great chance to connect with the work of hundreds of talented artists from Herefordshire and its borders.

H.Art 2026 - Saturday 5th to Sunday 13th September.
