Beer On The Wye Festival

Beer On The Wye Festival "Beer on the Wye" the annual Hereford CAMRA Beer & Cider Festival will be back 10th - 12th July 2026 HR4 0BE. That’s how much we love real beer, cider and perry.

BEER ON THE WYE XVIII: HEREFORD BEER & CIDER FESTIVAL 2024

Friday 12th July to Sunday 14th July, 2024 at Hereford Rowing Club, Greyfriars Avenue, Hereford. OPENING TIMES & ADMISSION:
Friday 12th July
2.00pm-11.00pm £7

Saturday 13th July
Noon-11.00pm £9

Sunday 14th July
noon-5.00pm £3

BEER: Beer on the Wye XVIII will showcase over 135 different real beers from breweries the length and breadt

h of the UK, with styles ranging from light ales to stouts; from lagers to dark milds, and probably everything in between. The Foreign Beers Bar will again offer eclectic and interesting beers from overseas, for those with more international tastes. CIDER & PERRY: As you might expect for an event based in Hereford, we will be showcasing the very best from local producers as well as some from the neighbouring counties. There will be over 100 draught ciders and perries, and a number of bottled products - some will be from new producers, as this vibrant sector continues to expand. Once again, we will be selling all the beers and ciders in third-pint measures, as well as the normal halves and pints. We cool EVERY one of the drinks we sell - so you're guaranteed a refreshing drink every time. BANDS: TBC

FOOD: Food (hot and cold) will be available at ALL times the festival is open (with vegetarians well catered for). A hot breakfast service will be provided on the festival site for campers on the Saturday and Sunday mornings. Tyrrells crisps will be available on the various bars at all times. SUNDAY IS FAMILY FUN DAY: We realise it isn’t easy sometimes to get along to the festival when you have demanding family commitments, so we enjoy making the festival Sunday our Family Fun Day. It’s a very relaxed session, and each year is becoming increasingly popular. With appropriate live entertainment and a number of activities for children of all ages hopefully it allows both the parents and the smaller people a chance to enjoy the riverside atmosphere of Beer on the Wye. There is hot and cold food, plus a number of soft drinks, sweets, crisps etc available to buy. CAMPING:
Beer on the Wye is blessed with a festival camp site. It is in the same meadow as the main marquee, immediately adjacent to the festival site. Camping can only be BOOKED ONLINE, so we strongly recommend booking your pitch as soon as possible, you will not be able to just turn up on the day. As you know pitches go really quickly as everyone loves to stay in the festival village. The festival village camping area is operated independently from Beer on the Wye by Hereford Rowing Club (HRC), who manage it and are responsible for the facilities provided.

Hereford Rowing Club is ideally situated as a campsite, being only a very short walk from the centre of Historic Hereford and all the amenities you would expect from supermarkets to restaurants yet is still in a very rural setting. Located on the banks of the river Wye it's an ideal spot. With ample parking, changing rooms, showers, (disabled toilets not 24hrs), WIFI and a bar. Please note there is no electric hook up, but there are showers, toilets, sinks and water points all with 24 hour access.

Breakfast is also served in the Hereford Rowing Club Bar/Lounge Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8.30am till 11.30am - no need to book. Visit the Hereford Rowing Club website to book your spot: https://www.herefordrc.co.uk/campsite

Every CAMRA member who works at Beer on the Wye is doing so unpaid and entirely in their own time. If you are a CAMRA member and fancy helping us out, then now is your chance! You’ll find working (whether behind one of the bars or behind the scenes) a rewarding and enjoyable experience. We look after you properly whilst you are with us. You’ll be fed and watered, and you get proper breaks. And if you are from further a field then you are entitled to camp for free – just say so on the booking form and we’ll do the rest. Whether volunteering to work, asking about a sales stand pitch or looking to advertise in the festival programme – just get in touch. Contact the team on [email protected]

🍺🌭 Need a little festival fix before Beer on the Wye returns? 🌭🍺

If the thought of waiting another fortnight for your annual dose of riverside revelry is proving just too much, we've got the perfect warm-up event for you!

This coming weekend, Ledbury's Barn is hosting a fantastic Cider & Sausage Festival – a celebration of two things that were simply made for each other. 😋

Now under the wing of Hereford's Golden Wake Brewery, you can expect plenty of excellent ale alongside a tempting selection of ten Herefordshire ciders, all served up in one of the county's most quirky and historic venues.

So gather your friends, enjoy some great food and drink, and get those festival vibes flowing ahead of Beer on the Wye 2026! 🍻☀️

*** BEER ON THE WYE TAKES A TURN FOR THE BETTER ***

We know a lot of you are keen to get back under canvas, with Beer on the Wye returning to its lovely riverside home after a year off. And we think you’re going to be in for a treat with the changes we are making to the festival this year.

Our ###L-size big-top marquee is going to pivot through 90 degrees. This means that wherever you are in the festival field you’ll be able to see the River Wye. But, let’s hope it doesn’t come and visit us on site like it did back in 2012!

However, you’ll otherwise find all your favourite things waiting at the festival to be enjoyed. There’ll be festival seating (with umbrellas); our famously posh loos; lots of hot and cold food options (including veggie and gluten-free offerings), and last, but definitely not least, over 300 different beers, ciders and perries on the festival’s four bars to sample. And guaranteeing a great party atmosphere will be no fewer than nine live bands gracing the festival stage over two nights and a Sunday afternoon.

We think that’s a real turn for the better.

🍺☀️ ONLY 3 WEEKS TO GO! ☀️🍏

Not long now until the tent flaps swing open and Beer on the Wye 2026 bursts into life! 🎉

At 2.00pm on Friday 10th July, we return to our beautiful riverside location, once again bringing Herefordshire's biggest celebration of beer, cider, music and good times. 🍻🎶🌿

The bars will be groaning under the weight of hundreds of incredible beers, ciders and perries. The bands will be tuning up. The food traders will be firing up their grills. And those sunny riverside seats will be waiting patiently for you to settle in with your first pint of the weekend. 😎🍺

If you're the sort of person who likes to be first through the gate, first at the bar and first to soak up that unique Beer on the Wye atmosphere, then Friday is the day for you!

Why wait until Saturday when you can start your festival weekend early? Gather your friends, finish work, head down to the Wye and let the weekend begin in style. 🍻

Three weeks. One stunning riverside setting. Hundreds of beers and ciders. Fantastic live music. Thousands of happy festival-goers.

We can't wait to welcome you back.

🌟💙 VOLUNTEERS' WEEK – CELEBRATING THE HEART OF BEER ON THE WYE 💙🌟

Beer on the Wye simply wouldn't happen without our incredible team of volunteers.

From the friendly faces welcoming you through the gates, to the busy hands serving your favourite beers and ciders, from the people booking fantastic bands and entertainment, to the countless hours of planning, organising, lifting, building, fixing, setting up and packing away behind the scenes – every single volunteer plays a part in making the magic happen.

While festival weekend is when everyone sees the fun, there's a huge amount of work that takes place throughout the year that often goes unnoticed. Meetings, logistics, sponsorship, programme design, site preparation, bar organisation, health and safety, signage, decorating the site and so much more. It takes a dedicated team of people giving their time, energy and enthusiasm to bring Beer on the Wye to life.

This Volunteers' Week, we'd like to say a massive THANK YOU to every person who helps make our festival such a special event. Your passion, commitment and community spirit are what make Beer on the Wye the friendly, welcoming and vibrant festival that so many people love.

👏 Whether you're pulling pints, putting up fencing, moving barrels, managing the bars, helping festival-goers, keeping everything running smoothly or working behind the scenes, you're all absolute stars.

We can't wait to get the team back together and do it all again on 10th–12th July, bringing another fantastic weekend of music, food, drink, laughter and community spirit to the banks of the beautiful River Wye.

❤️ Here's to our volunteers – the true heroes of Beer on the Wye. ❤️

🐶🍺 DOGS AT BEER ON THE WYE? PAW-SITIVELY YES! 🍺🐶

We LOVE seeing your four-legged festival companions enjoying the riverside vibes at Beer on the Wye! 🌿☀️🐾

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at the festival, provided they are:
🐕 Kept on a lead
🐾 Friendly around crowds and noise
🍖 Not planning to drink all your cider

Our festival gets especially busy in the evenings when the music’s flowing and the pints are disappearing rapidly 🍻🎶 so please keep your furry friends close and be mindful of waggy tails in crowded areas… because nobody wants an accidental tail squish! 😱🐕

A quieter daytime visit is often much more enjoyable for some dogs, especially if they’re not used to large crowds.

So bring your best furry drinking buddy along, enjoy the sunshine by the Wye, and help us keep the festival safe and happy for humans AND hounds alike ❤️🐾
