Jeff Turner - Confirmed for Rebellion Literary Festival
Due to be launched at the festival, Jeff is publishing a follow-up to ‘Cockney Reject’, released in 2004, ‘Cockney Reject Volume 2: I Love Being Me’, written in conjunction with Guy Shankland.

Illuminati & 50 Years of Punk - Confirmed for Rebellion Literary Festival

Illuminati is a high-end punk rock artist who produces works using neon and various other mediums. He is also involved in film making and has recently produced a film ’50 Years of Punk’ which will be showing at various independent cinemas. The film ‘traces the explosion of punk on London's King's Road. It is framed as an intimate, authentic insider account featuring interviews with original icons like Gaye Advert, Vivienne Westwood, Glen Matlock, and Dave Vanian.’ Snapshots of the film will be shown interspersed with an interview.

ANNABELLA LWIN - Confirmed for Rebellion Literary Fest 2026
Frontwoman with 80s sensations Bow Wow Wow, who evolved from the original Adam and the Ants line-up. Having been discovered by Malcolm McClaren in a launderette, he persuaded Annabella to sing for the new band. Having enjoyed a series of chart hits, she was abruptly fired in 1983. She has since played with a reformed version of the band since 1997, using a variety of musicians and continues to front the band to this day.

Harley Flanagan - Confirmed for Rebellion Literary Festival 2026
Harley Flanagan is the legendary bassist and vocalist for seminal hardcore band the Cromags, although he started out his musical journey as drummer for The Stimulators in 1978. He was recently subject to the celluloid treatment with the release of ‘Harley Flanagan: Wired for Chaos’, which chronicles his rise to ‘punk stardom’ at 13, featuring raw NYC footage and interviews with icons like Flea and Ice-T, depicting his transformative journey.

A new book from Mike Magrann

Mike Magraan (Channel 3) - Rebellion Literary Festival 2026
Mike Magraan, lead singer and co-founder of the Southern California punk band CH3, has published a follow-up to 2004’s Miles per Gallon.
‘Tin Knocker continues the story of LA’s Channel 3, as the band moves into the latter half of the ‘80s. The hardcore heyday has passed, the future is uncertain, responsibility calls, and the definition of success keeps changing. Written as a fictionalised memoir, Tin Knocker is a novel about a punk band trying to expand their horizons, though some would call it selling it out. It was the ‘80s in Hollywood, after all.’

This will be a ‘must watch’ interview for anyone interested in the very early days of the punk scene

Shanne Bradley - Rebellion Literary Festival 2026
Celebrating 50 years of punk, we couldn’t ask for anyone more suitable to represent the birth of the UK punk scene, as Shanne was at the very forefront. In late 1975, she attended a Halloween party at Hertfordshire College of Art and Design in St Albans, where the S*x Pistols gate-crashed and performed an uninvited set. Shanne went on to book the band three times, along with booking the Damned for their second ever gig and attended many of the early punk shows during 1976. Shanne formed the Ni**le Erectors in ’77 with Shane MacGowan, another figure in the then nascent punk scene. During the 80s she co-formed influential band ‘The Men They Couldn’t Hang’ and was involved in a variety of musical collaborations. Shanne can regularly be seen at gigs in London.

Great to have our good friend John King back this year

John King - Rebellion Literary Festival 2026 - Confirmed
One of our favourite authors returns to the Literary Stage and as ever, John has been busy with his latest book, a novella by the name ‘Peekaboo Bush’, having been recently published. This follows the animal rights theme featured in ‘Slaughterhouse’ prayer, although this time focusing on the shady business surrounding vivisection labs. Hopefully coinciding with the festival, he will have a new book available, ‘Machine Elves Descending’, the latest tome in the PM Press series curating short stories, essays + an interview with a specific author, that has previously featured Terry Bisson and Michael Moorcock. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the ‘Football Factory’ and to cap it all we have a special guest conducting the interview, Irvine Welsh.
