Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! Hot on the heels of being included in Saatchi Art’s Global Chief Curator’s Top 100 global picks last week with Walking Woman, this week I have appeared in her 100 with Skygazer! (Large version, stone cast). 6 sculptures out of 100 pieces of art. Crowing about it now in case it never happens again. Photos taken at the Sculpture Garden at Odney Court, Cookham back in May. Our massive pop-up backdrop is a game-changer for taking photos and the Dryad is clearly enjoying her photo shoot! John’s taken some great photos of new (and new-ish) work, which will be uploaded to my Saatchi page and website v soon (and here). The big reveal: Connection. A new sculpture I have been working on since last autumn. Commissioned by 3 collectors who have kindly allowed me to offer this as a limited edition of 9, meaning each one can be called an original. I handed the first two casts in bonded marble to the collectors today. Fortunately, they are delighted too (phew!) The piece celebrates the long friendship between three friends, depicting how they are connected yet separate. I personally really love this sculpture and won't be parting with my artist's copy. The other casts will be going on Saatchi Art soon. This commission has pushed me in a more abstract direction which I am excited to explore further. I really enjoyed collaborating with the collectors throughout the whole process. And thanks, Lynne, at !
