Saffron Walden RFC have extended the services of the veteran lock for the 2026/27 season.

A vital part of the squad, known for setting the example, Chris brings the leadership and influence needed in what is fast turning into an exciting and dynamic pack at Walden.

🏉 2027 INTERNATIONAL TICKET APPLICATIONS 🏉

The window for SWRFC members and eligible sponsors to apply for our 2027 international ticket allocation opens Friday 28 August 2026.

Applications are invited for:

Ireland v England
England v France
England v Italy
Wales v England
England v Scotland

Please submit your application as soon as possible.

To be eligible for the club ballot, you must be either:

• A fully paid-up SWRFC member; or
• A paid-up club sponsor whose sponsorship package includes the opportunity to apply for international tickets.

🎟️ HOW IT WORKS

The club will receive confirmation of its ticket allocation for each match later in the year.

Once our allocation is confirmed, SWRFC will conduct a ballot from the applications received and contact successful applicants.

Successful applicants will then pay the RFU directly, with tickets issued directly by the RFU.

An integral part of the Walden pack, Brad combines powerful carrying and uncompromising defence. His experience, consistency and influence on the field have made him an important part of the squad, regularly stepping up with decisive contributions when they're needed most.

The latest international signing for Saffron Walden results in the talented Marlo September signing for the 2026-27 season.

Currently playing in South Africa for the 2025 City League Champions , is a dynamic and vesatile player, consistently making a trademark impact in the midfield, he is equally adept at fly-half or on the wing.

A talented multi-sport athlete, Marlo has also represented South Africa in Baseball, bringing an elite competitive mindset, professionalism, and relentless work ethic to everything he does.

Marlo will soon touch down on UK soil and link up with Crocuses ahead of the new campaign.

Physical. Dominant. Uncompromising.

A powerful prop, Luca arrives from bringing a wealth of experience from the Army game. Over the last five seasons, he's helped the Sappers establish themselves as one of military rugby's dominant sides, winning 5 consecutive Cannonball Trophies, 3 Corps Championships, and reaching 5straight Corps Championship Finals.

Luca has also represented and the Royal Engineers in both XVs and Sevens, helping the Sappers lift the 2024 LITS 7s Series title.

Known for his physicality, dominant carries and relentless defence, Luca brings a winning mentality and real presence to the Walden pack.
