Not just foam… there’s a bit of science behind these little white beads 🤓

Something not everyone knows about EPS blanks: the beads aren’t simply stuck together. Marko Foam individually moulds each blank and uses steam pressure to create a very tight fusion between the beads — giving the core a surprisingly strong structure while keeping the weight down. And yes, the material is recyclable too. 🤙 (Marko Foam Blanks⁠)

Surfing isn’t just about surfing.

Everyone has something they struggle with — stress, problems, pressure, or just life being a bit too much sometimes.

For some people, the thing that helps is surfing. For others, it might be training, making music, working with their hands, riding a bike, fishing, or simply doing something they genuinely enjoy.

For me, it’s the shaping room.

When I’m in there working on a board, everything else switches off for a while. No phone, no noise, no thinking about everything that needs sorting out. Just me, the board and the work in front of me.

I call it my meditation.

Sometimes the best medicine isn’t something you take. It’s something that makes you switch off, clear your head and feel like yourself again.

The difference between a surfboard and our boards is the connection — the rapport, the trust, and that close feeling we build with the people who come to us.

We don’t just make a board from a picture or a few measurements. We connect with you, listen to the vision, and try to bring it to life. And somewhere along the way, customers become friends. We become part of their journey, their development — and, just as importantly, they become part of ours.

The story behind this board can’t be seen from a simple picture. The delays, the battles, the little wins, the conversations, the hours in the workshop… all of it gets tattooed into our souls. That’s what makes every board one of a kind.

So thank you, Adam — and thank you to all the customer-friends we’ve made along the years. You’re the reason we keep doing it this way.
