Dacorum Recreation Orchestra The Orchestra welcomes all-comers: those with little experience of playing with groups, re-starters The Orchestra is independent and runs itself informally.

The Orchestra welcomes all-comers: those with little experience of playing with groups, re-starters and beginners. Auditions are not required and public concerts are not performed. Most members are grades 3 to 6; many have not taken exams. The repertoire is broadly classical and we often surprise ourselves, and our conductor, with what we achieve. The orchestra meets on Wednesday evenings from 8.0

0 to 9.30 pm at St John's Church Hall, Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead HP1 1JY. New players are welcome to come for a trial evening with no obligation to stay or pay. Please bring your own music stand. As of September 2021, the cost per term remains at £40.00 for about eleven evenings including one sectional rehearsal. Payment by cheque to the treasurer, Robin Mann, made out to Dacorum Recreation Orchestra, or preferably by bank transfer – details from Robin.
