The Memory Cafe Team have loved visiting Memory Cafes across Cornwall. Reminiscence Arts makes a huge difference to the lives of those living with memory challenges. It is a joy to work with volunteers and carers and engage young onset and older friends in activities which encourage movement, speech, singing and memory ❤️

What a fantastic project for the children, staff, schools and artists 💚

Everyone has learned so much about how the arts impact wellbeing 💚

Over two years with generous funding from the Feeling Good Team from MADE has engaged with 10 schools, their children and staff in what has been an immensely rewarding process. Arts skills have been shared and developed, performances have been created and shared and children and adults have experienced transformative journeys. As the reflective and report writing process continues MADE is researching how this impactful work can be cascaded across Cornwall for the benefit of all children and schools 💚

Did you spot Ann Medlyn and her group of rebels around Helston town today?

In honour of the summer Cornish fair at the Museum of Cornish Life, we performed some of our songs and dances and Ann got carried away causing trouble in different shops! And of course finishing with a pasty at Rowe’s!

Ever wondered where the inspiration for Kara Hellys came from?

Well here is one of our co-directors of MADE, Pat Hickman, explaining how the team found inspiration for the world of Kara Hellys.

It all started in the Museum of Cornish Life and that is where our performance will begin too. We can’t wait to meet you there for our travelling show!
