💥WHAT A SUMMER IT'S BEEN! HERE'S OUR AUTUMN NEWSLETTER💥
We’ve had young people performing, training, fundraising, taking circus out into the community and generally reminding us exactly why we love doing what we do.
There has been such a lot going on both on and off site over the last few months.
Our young people have trained hard, performed publicly, taken circus out into Helston and beyond, through various events, productions and performances. They have thrown themselves wholeheartedly into another summer of making circus accessible, visible and fun.
Our Saturday Morning Circus, Monday Night Teens only, Home Ed, and Evening Aerial and Ground Based sessions for all ages continued to be busy throughout the Summer.
We're also delighted to have a member of our Gen A Youth Circus accepted onto the National Circus CAT Scheme, and it's with delight, tinged with sadness that we see another member of our NextGen Circus prepare to begin their first year of a Degree at National Centre For Circus Arts.
A huge thank you goes our from all of us at Cirk Hes, to everyone who came to watch a show, joined a workshop, shared a post, donated, volunteered, transported equipment, bought a ticket, cheered from the audience or helped us keep the whole circus moving.
Every bit of support matters, and we are hugely grateful for it.
VITAL FEEDBACK
If you haven't already completed either of these forms, if you would it will really help us prove our worth to funders and help keep Cirk Hes growing!

☀️ OUR 24 HOUR CIRKATHON 🌕
One of the highlights of the Summer was our youth-led 24 Hour Cirk-A-Thon, held on International Youth Day.
Our young circus members set themselves the fairly ridiculous challenge of spending 24 hours immersed in circus activity to raise money towards keeping youth circus training affordable and accessible.
The day included a free community circus workshop, a performance, a parade through Helston, hours and hours of circus training, a sleepover at Cirk Hes and — eventually — a very well-earned circus brunch.
More importantly, it was created and driven by the young people themselves.
To all of the local businesses, like Roll The Dice, The Cornish Oven, Trevow Helston, Wick & Wood, Chypraze Farm Produce, the Red Lion pub, and Cornish Companies like , and Serenity Fire, to Sainsbury's and to everybody who sponsored them, donated, supported the event, provided a pit stop, or that encouraged them along the way:
🙏🏽THANK YOU❤️
📢THE GRAND TOTAL RAISED £4000 !!!💥 4 TIMES THEIR GOAL!!
Every pound YOU have helped them to raise, helps us continue offering young people opportunities to train, develop, perform and belong at Cirk Hes.
🤹 COULD YOU HELP KEEP CIRCUS ACCESSIBLE?
Cirk Hes is a small independent charity, and every month we work hard to balance the real cost of running our building and delivering specialist circus training with our commitment to keeping participation affordable.
That means fundraising is not an occasional extra for us — it is part of what makes our work possible.
Your support helps us provide:
• Free and subsidised youth circus places
• Inclusive opportunities for neurodivergent and disabled participants
• Specialist equipment and coaching
• Community outreach
• Volunteer and young leader opportunities
• Progression routes for young circus artists
• Reduced-cost places for families experiencing financial hardship
Even a small regular donation can make a genuine difference
You can donate to us anytime, by going to the donate link in our about section
🎪 AUTUMN - WINTER 26-27
Our regular weekly programme is now back underway, with circus sessions for children, teenagers and adults across aerial, acrobatics, movement, balance and much more. Tuesday morning CIRCO MICRO sessions for tots, and Wednesday After School CIRCO NEURO sessions for SEND youngsters have also returned.
Whether you’re returning after the summer break or have been thinking about giving circus a try for the first time, September is a great time to get involved.
At Cirk Hes, you don’t need to be flexible, fearless or already “good at circus”. You just need to turn up.
We’ll help with the rest. Click the link in our about section to view our timetable or book a session.
