Part of prep for upcoming autumn markets: glamming up a small cardboard display stand, pre-assembly

Needless to say, I thought it would be bigger....... đŸ˜–

And had I properly studied the assembly diagram, (much superior to Ikea instructions!) I would have saved paper and realized that some large areas will be entirely hidden. I need to add some extra flowers before its debut.

The range of props available for fair and market displays is dizzying, but a bit of variety hopefully goes a long way to attract more looking and lingering at the stand.

A selection of the GET WELL cards (each a unique, handmade mini-collage) that I have included in the exhibition at Thomson's Tower loch-side at Dr. Neil's Garden (https://www.drneilsgarden.co.uk), aka "Edinburgh's Secret Garden" all this week.

I'm showing the ridiculous work alongside the more sublime work of and as part of the Edinburgh Festival.

We are members of - a Scottish Boders group of printmakes and book artists.

There are somehow over 200 of my unique, handmade collages included there, a small number of which could be considered well-wishing, so do stop in for a browse!

These have backgrounds collaged with a combination of vintage and modern ephemera and monoprinted papers. Some of the vintage papers are my mother's university biology notebook pages - diagrams of things seen through her microscope.

Five medically-themed, mini-collage Get Well cards

Made using a variety of vintage ephemera, monoprinted paper, and a bit of modern commercial paper. Each is mounted on a 6 x 6 inch card and is blank inside for your personalised message of healing and recovery!

These will be on offer at our upcoming exhibition, RECOVERY ROOM, from August 15th-21st, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily (see poster)
