🍄 TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE 🍄

After the fantastic response to last year's inaugural event, we're excited to welcome both returning and new fungi enthusiasts for another day celebrating the fascinating world of mushrooms and fungi. Whether you're an experienced forager, a keen mycologist, or simply curious to learn more, there's something for everyone.

This year there will be an admission fee of £12.50 per adult, while children under 16 go FREE. Last year's event was free to attend, but this small charge helps us cover the cost of hiring the venue and ensures we can continue to grow and improve the festival for years to come.

We are beavering away behind the scenes pulling everything together for this year's Northern Fungi Festival at Ruberslaw Wild Woods Camping.

If you joined us last year there will be a few familiar faces in the line-up of walks, talks and demonstrations, but also plenty of new ones too! Over the coming weeks we'll be releasing more information about what you can except on the day, but for now we wanted to proudly shout that this year we are sponsored by the British Mycological Society (BMS).

The British Mycological Society (or BMS) is open to all who are interested in supporting, promoting and learning about the fascinating world of fungi. They are the driving force being UK Fungus Day - The flagship outreach of the British Mycological Society , which this year is taking place on 10th October, just before the Northern Fungi Festival.

The Northern Fungi Festival is back for 2026!

We're very happy to be bringing this celebration of all things fungi back for its second year - these time we are being hosted by Ruberslaw Wild Woods Camping, over the border near Denholm. Sitting on 500 acres of unspoilt upland is set in the heart of the Teviot Valley's Special Landscape Area, this year is set to be a very immersive experience.

We're still very much in the early stages of planning, but we wanted to let you know that the festival will be taking place on Sunday 11th October.

If anyone would like to be involved whether it be fungal forays, market stalls, or activity providers, please feel free to reach out to us via Messenger and let us know.

We'll be releasing more information over the coming months as it comes in, but for now, mark your calendars for 11th October.
