Making picture frames for ceramics is a highly sophisticated job because clay shrinks, warps, and lacks uniform flatness during firing. Framers must precisely calculate shrinkage, custom-cut spacers, and manage heavy, rigid materials to prevent the artwork from cracking while ensuring a secure, aesthetic presentation.
Watch how our talented framer enhanced the original ceramics piece by designing and making special wooden background and frame. Hawick framing gallery
