We're on the look out for the following players to join us:
- Flugel horn
- Eb bass

We're sad to announce that our flugel player, Simon, is leaving the band this summer due to increased work and family commitments. It's been great having him with us. We're also still looking for a permanent Eb bass player.

This is your chance to join East Anglia's premier brass band and compete at contests like the Senior Cup and Whit Friday, as well as performing in some great concerts throughout the year!

We rehearse in a dedicated band room on Wednesday evenings in Haverhill, Suffolk, with extra rehearsals on Sunday evenings prior to contests.

Join us and Haverhill Silver Band on Saturday 4 July for an afternoon treat! Wallace & Gromit, The Wrong Trousers, will be accompanied by an epic live brass band.

You can even enjoy some cheese and crackers like Wallace🧀

☔️We had fun at the fete last Saturday ☔️

Despite the damp weather, the band really enjoyed playing a fun programme to an appreciative audience. Thank you to the organisers for the gazebo this year. Much aprecciated. Great solos too by our and soloists. Bravo!

🎶 🥁 New Player Announcement 🥁🎶

Holly is a 14 year old percussionist, who has been playing with the HYACB - Haverhill Youth and Community Band for 3 years. She has also been playing in the National Children's Orchestras of Great Britain for 2 years, attending residentials and performing in The Bridgewater Hall and the Bristol Beacon. Her favourite pieces that she’s played in the orchestra have been Gustav Holst’s The Planets, The Suite and Danzon No.2 by Arturo Márquez. Holly also has a love for musical theatre and is a member of the Centre Stage Company, where she recently played Louisa Von Trapp in their production of The Sound of Music. She is looking forward to yet more playing opportunities with the Haverhill Silver Band, especially the upcoming concert screening of Wallace and Gromit 😁 at Saffron Screen on July 4th 2026 as part of the Thaxted Festival

Final preparations went well in . The weather is looking good, the band is sounding fantastic and, at the time of writing 🤞, Paul (MD) hasn't hurt his back so will be conducting us in our performances this year.

Everyone is saddened to see such a brutal end to our former band-room. Many a good time was had there and many of our players were pupils there, too. So sad.

Fire crews called to fire I Haverhill

Local reports suggest a fire has engulfed a school in .

Emergency services are on scene and initial reports suggest none fire appliances have been called to a 'significant fire' at the former Parkway Middle School in Haverhill
