💃 MOVE IT! — KEEPING ACTIVE DOESN’T HAVE TO MEAN GOING TO THE GYM
If you’ve become less active, your mobility isn’t what it once was, or the thought of joining a conventional exercise class feels a little daunting, Move It! could be for you.

Move It! , on a Thursday, is Lisa’s friendly Thursday morning class combining gentle movement, music and exercise in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Move It! isn’t a new idea. Lisa originally taught the class in Haverhill through St Nicholas Hospice Care, where it was described as a “fun and light-hearted dance class”. Today, she continues Move It! independently at LMSD Studios.

There’s also plenty of evidence for why keeping moving matters.

NHS England says physical activity is particularly important for people living with long-term health conditions, and that even becoming a little more active can bring benefits.

But Move It! isn’t about pushing yourself or trying to keep up with everyone else.

It’s about:

🎵 Moving to music
💪 Gentle exercise to help you keep moving
😊 Building confidence
🤝 Meeting people and enjoying some company
❤️ Having fun in a welcoming group

You don’t have to be a dancer.
You don’t have to be particularly fit.
You simply do what you can, at your own pace.

Movements can be adapted, so if you need to take things a little more gently, that’s absolutely fine.

NEW! Line Dance 4 Kidz is coming to Haverhill! 🎶🤠

We’re really excited to be launching a brand-new line dancing class especially for young people aged 6 –16.

The first class is on Wednesday 16th September, from 4:30–5:30pm at LMSD Studios, 4 Hollands Road, Haverhill.

This isn’t about cowboy hats and old-fashioned music. Line dancing today uses a huge mix of music and styles, and it’s a brilliant way to get moving, learn something new, build confidence and have fun with friends.

No previous dance experience is required. Just comfortable clothes, soft-soled shoes or trainers, and a willingness to give it a go!

If your child enjoys music, dancing or simply trying something different, we’d love to welcome them.

Places need to be pre-booked, so please get in touch with Lisa to reserve a space.

LMSD @ the Thurlow Fayre.
What an amazing performance this lunchtime. Well done everyone you did us teachers and LMSD proud. Especially when the music kept cutting out and you carried on dancing and the music joining in with you again. Super proud. Enjoy the rest of your day. 😎

🏠 Looking for a regular space for your club, class or group in Haverhill?

LMSD Studios at Hollands Road is home to Lisa Mason School of Dance, but the studios are also available for private hire.

We already have a number of regular bookings from local clubs and groups, and we now have just a few regular slots still available.

The studios offer:

This is Thursday’s Move It! Class 🕺 A friendly, lively class combining dance, movement and music — designed to help you keep active, improve mobility, coordination and enjoy exercising with other people.

You don’t need any dance experience. Just come along, work at your own pace and have some fun.

New members are always welcome. Great fun and with Coffee/Tea, Biscuits and a Chat at the end for those wanting to stay a little longer. It’s good to talk!
