This is Safta 🩷
She is 88 years old and still face painting to this day, as much as she physically can 🌈
She is one of the most special women in my life. I met her when I was just 15 and first starting out with face painting, and honestly, without her help, encouragement and belief in me, I don’t think I would be the painter I am today.
I still regularly receive long voice notes from her (I taught her how to do those 🤣), asking how I am, what I’m up to and whether there’s anything she can do to help. She calls me “sunshine” and every time I see her, she tells me how beautiful I am — especially now I’ve got rid of the lashes, apparently 🤣🩷
She has never stopped. She probably never will. And I admire her more than I can put into words.
She is my superhero. 🌈
I owe so much of my business to this woman because, without her, I don’t think I would have believed in myself quite as much.
I am so incredibly grateful for her, inspired by her and lucky to have her in my life.
I honestly can’t thank this woman enough. 🩷
So, if you ever see Safta painting alongside me, please don’t forget to say hello. She is truly one of the kindest, most incredible people you could ever meet — and she deserves to know just how amazing she is. 🌈🩷
I also hope I’m painting right into my 80s ✨
