Calling all craft beer enthusiasts, hop heads, and malt lovers! 🍻

Got a palate for proper, uncompromising flavour? We’re on the hunt for judges for the Indie Beer Cymru Awards this November, on Thursday 12th 2026.

We’re celebrating the absolute best of Welsh independent brewing. Whether you're obsessed with the tropical punch of an East Coast, the resinous pine of a West Coast, the roasty notes of a stout, or the crisp bite of a proper German-style lager, if you know good beer, we want you at the tasting table.

Bragdy Twt Lol (The Trefforest Brewery) took overall Golds in the inaugural Indie Beer Cymru Awards in the cask competition.

So what happened last year? A magnificent lineup of cask beer in pristine, competition-ready condition, in an incredible range of styles. Whether you are a fan of bitter, mild, pale, golden, red, IPA, or even a braggot.

Last year's winner was Twt Lol with Pretty Fly for a Magpie (IPA). This is a punchy, golden IPA that leans heavily into Citra and Mosaic hops. Expect a smooth bitterness balanced by a massive tropical aroma, think mango and citrus zest in every sip.

But what will this year bring? Whatever it does, you can guarantee it will be at the top of its game.
