Our History
Dance Revival has been established for over 20 years and until recently was run on a part time basis. The initial base for the school has been from Wallington Village Hall in Fareham. However, we are now utilising facilities at " 24/7 " Gym in Fareham and will be looking to expand classes in other towns. Although the dance school was originally run by Richard, he has recently been jo
ined by Anita Langford who has moved back to the UK. Richard Hennessey
Richard started dancing from the age of 6 in a school in London and moved on to dance in competitions throughout the UK. He then qualified as a Dance Teacher in his late teens and has been teaching for over 25 years. He teaches a variety of abilities from social dancers to medalists and competitors. Anita Langford
Although originally from Portsmouth, Anita started dancing at a similar age to Richard. She went on to have an international dance career representing four different countries, becoming French champion ballroom and 10 dance, Dutch champion amateur ballroom, Professional ballroom and showdance. After teaching and judging for many years abroad she has decided to return and resume her working partnership with Richard with whom she danced as a junior and has always remained good friends. Vicky started dancing at the age of three and took lessons and examinations in ballet, tap, modern, ballroom and latin, freestyle and contempory dance. She has a BA Honours Degree in dance and psychology, has taught ballroom and latin dancing and is also a trained ballet and tap teacher. Vicky has a great passion for fitness as well as dance and has enjoyed teaching a wide variety of fitness classes over the past ten years. Private lessons
Having a lesson on one to one basis will help you pick up your dance steps a lot faster and concentrate on perfecting your technique. It is personally tailored to you and your needs. If you are looking to learn to dance for a specific event (your wedding, holiday or a special occassion) then this is an ideal and focused way to learn. From Β£15 per 30 minutes (one pupil or one couple)
