A very Brothelly Thank You to everyone who came out in the very unseasonable rain to our METAMORPHI edition.

We were infused with the magic of change and transformation and the absolute joy of saying it all (especially the bits one normally doesn't say out loud) in verse, music and movement.

Sam Brown is an innovative violinist based in the heart of Hastings, East sussex. A graduate from the Leeds Conservatoire, Sam Brown plays regularly in London and East Sussex.

From her own compositions and playful loop experiments, to on the spot Improvisations, accompanying poets, Sam will blow your socks off.

Just one week to go......

and time to introduce The Exceptional Kid Anansi - The poetic equivalent of finding out that the drinks machine in your local McDonalds has replaced its Pepsi button with spiced rum.

Kid Anansi is confusing, frightening, delicious with ginger ale and lemon, and unhealthy in large doses. His poetry will have you laughing, crying, biting your knuckles in second-hand embarrassment, or all three, mixing history and melancholy with slapstick humour and inimitable energy.

We're delighted to have him back at The Poetry Brothel Hastings, where you will also have an opportunity of purchasing for a modest additional fee - a private reading!

We're the ticketed act for the launch party of the Mews Industrial Quarter, 15 Harold Mews, St Leonard's.

Existing in a constant state of becoming; shedding skins, slipping forms, and flirting with the unknown. Blurring gender, glamour, and feral energy, he invites you into a world of sensual absurdity; where his seduction is sacred and nothing is ever that serious. Serving camp divinity and playful filth, he’s here to bless you, seduce you, and perhaps...unravel you. Side effects may include arousal, laughter, and a mild but irreversible inner transformation.

Happy Beltane, heathens!

Absolutely delighted to be the back with METAMORPH on Sat 16th May for the opening event of The Mews Industrial Quarter.

We're bringing our Literary Cabaret to this fabulously transformed space, (tix link in bio), with a fabulously line up of spoken word, music and dance.

METAMORPH is celebrating miraculous transformations - beautiful, monstrous, uncanny, sweet or absurd. We're taking inspiration from Kafka's 'Metamorphosis' and adding a cabaret twist.

It's our first event in some time - so we're bubbling with excitement.

Open performances followed by a chance, for a MODEST additional fee, to purchase private reading tokens.
