We are completely overwhelmed by the talent on that stage!! Also the kindness and friendships made in the past week have been humbling to watch happen - it's never easy to meet someone new, then do a cartwheel in the next second (we're talking the participants here not the WR staff...although some might well take up that challenge) Well done to every West End Experience and We**ie participant!! SHREK THE MUSICAL – SUMMER youth project 2025
Project dates: 2ND-15th August 2026
The project began back in 2003 and Shrek the Musical will be our 23rd production and will bring 100 young people together to create a truly fantastic show.

Our participants have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled creative team including a professional Theatre Director, Choreographer, Musical Director, and Technical team to create a full-scale musical on the main stage of the White Rock Theatre. Our productions feature a live band, professional lighting, sound, set and costumes.

Audition dates: Tuesday 31 March with recalls on Wednesday 1 April 2026. For anyone aged 8-18.

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Film Maker to lead a 12-week filmmaking project with our Saturday youth groups. Working with participants aged 8–18, split into four groups, the tutor will guide groups through the process of planning, shooting, and editing short films to be submitted to the Children’s International Film Festival, Hastings 2026.

This role is ideal for a filmmaker passionate about inspiring and empowering young creatives!
