In 2007 Trevor Moss & Hannah-Lou established their now legendary acoustic club ‘The Lantern Society’ upstairs in a small room above a Dickensian pub in the City of London. Over the coming years their humble wooden stage would be graced by countless players from multi-million selling recording artists to fledgling talents. In 2009 the club became home to ‘The Lantern Society Radio Hour’ an online r

adio show, hosted by Trevor Moss, featuring the very best performances from their much coveted stage. The noteworthy result was the forging of a unique and definitive document live from the frontline of a constantly evolving music scene. With an old-school broadcasting style ala Bob Harris and the industrious spirit of Alan Lomax’s field recordings, the archive was sought out by The British Library Sound Archive for inclusion and preservation. With such a rich vein of musical talent and tradition in Hastings, the new radio hour will undoubtedly unearth and capture more treasures for generations to come to discover. Recording artists in their own rights, Trevor Moss and Hannah-Lou passed the club on in order to tour and promote their albums, and the London Lantern is still going strong today in the capable hands of Gibraltan poet laureate Gabriel Moreno. Leonards-on-Sea having played everywhere from The Royal Albert Hall to The Ryman Auditorium, Nashville, to the Warsaw Congress Hall, decided to reignite the Lantern once more and ran the club in Hastings from January 2017- December 2019.

We wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who came, played and listened at The Lantern Society, Hastings. After running the club for 3 years, we have decided to reluctantly extinguish the flames as we are expecting a new baby in May!

Biggest thank you to Lorna Lloyd and everyone at The Printworks Hastings for providing the most wonderful home.

Maybe we'll light up again at some point in the future, but for now, goodnight.

We want to say a big thank you to everyone who came down the Lantern Society Xmas Special last night at The Printworks Hastings.

Thank you to Lorna Lloyd and everyone at The Printworks for giving us the best home we could have hoped for, and thank you to everyone who has come and played over the last 3 years.

We have, however, extinguished the Lanterns for the last time, making this our final club. Life is moving on, but we shall take away some wonderful memories, even more amazing songs, and many new dear friends.

Merry Christmas everyone, and we truly hope for a happy new year.
