🔥How do we make theatre in a burning world?

That’s the big question we’ve been grappling with since 2022 at the Glitch in our monthly sessions. And while we haven’t got all the answers, we’ve met some amazing people along the way - from theatre makers to climate scientists.

🐦‍⬛Early bird offer ends on Sunday!

We're back with another Climate Scriptwriting Workshop at the Hornbeam Centre in Walthamstow!

Over two hours, we'll explore how to create compelling narratives, complex characters and enjoyable scenes from the climate crisis. This will be a practical and fun session with a variety of activities.

If you are interested in submitting something to the Climate Playwriting Prize, this is a great opportunity to get your ideas kickstarted. Or if you've been working on something for sometime, you'll leave having explored your ideas in a safe and supportive space.

All levels of experience are welcome, you just need an open-mind and be friendly and supportive.

We've got three tiers of ticket price - the highest price supports our work in creating climate theatre with and for communities.

📣 ‘Green Creative Connections’ is coming to Tendring!

The first announcement of the week!

We are thrilled to announce that we have secured funding to bring Green Creative Connections to Tendring, in 2026.

We are now hiring a project manager to run and oversee the project locally, this coming summer. The deadline for application is Thursday 4th June 5pm, just over a week.

🌿What is the project?

Green Creative Connections is an ambitious new creative community project, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. The aim of the project is to bring people closer to environmental activities, projects and volunteering opportunities in Tendring through creative workshops.

🌿Who we are looking for

We are looking for a freelance project manager with experience of managing creative wellbeing, social prescribing and/or community engagement projects, to manage Green Creative Connections from the initial delivery phase to closure. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with and alongside freelance artists, charities and other organisations.

We're delighted to be back in Falmouth for Made in Cornwall Scratch Night tomorrow with a short WIP performance of Sundream as well as teaching at !

What better time to look back on our wonderful residency at AMATA this summer. It gave us that precious time to think beyond the initial creative ideas, reflect and play for a whole week. Oh, and time to listen to a lot of music from 1976. 🕺

We shared a very early draft of Sundream to a wonderful and supportive audience. We also shared some of our process of making climate theatre through a collaborative workshop.

Shout out to the team who came all the way over to Falmouth, our fellow residency artists and local artists who turned up!

The absolutely stunning campus (last slide) deserves its very own shout out 🍃🌸🦋
