Working from a reference image, I carefully recreated the piece for laser cutting, preserving the character and detail of the original whilst creating something entirely unique for the customer.

Crafty Sausage started as a small setup in Scotland — just me, learning as I went with a basic laser.
Since then, it’s grown into a full workspace with multiple professional machines, each suited to different materials, along with a much stronger focus on quality and finish.
There’s been a lot of trial and error along the way… but I’m genuinely proud of how far it’s come.

The customer provided their own solid oak chopping boards, and I engraved the family name on both the top and sides for a subtle but premium result.
These will be oiled and finished by the customer before taking pride of place in their kitchen.
