The nominations are open! If you are interested in being part of the Film Society 2021/2022 committee now it is time to nominate yourself via the UWSU website.

(1) To do this, go to UWSU.com and log in.
(2) Hover over your name on the righthand side of the page and click on ‘Account/Profile’ when it drops down.
(3) When the page loads, click on ‘My Nominations’ listed on the left-hand side
(4) On the ‘My Nominations’ page you will see all the committee positions you are eligible to nominate yourself for, in all the student groups you are a member of.

If you wish to nominate yourself and you are not currently a paying member of the film society, is it not too late to purchase a membership of £2 at https://www.uwsu.com/groups/westminster-film-society.

Nominations ends at 11:59pm on Wednesday 19th May.

This Thursday 13th, continuing our Comedy Season, we will be showing the Japanese Horror-Musical-Comedy THE HAPPINESS OF THE KATAKURIS (dir. Takashi Miike, Audition), which tells the tales of the Katakuri family’s owned guest house and the weird, trippy and horrific events that follow!

To finish our year of glorious films, we'd thought we would end on a high. This month we are doing entirely Comedy films from time and space titled 'Make them Laugh' (see our events page for the films we are showing).

This Tuesday we are proud to show our most voted film, Norman Z. McLeod’s ALICE IN WONDERLAND (1933). This live action telling of the classic Lewis Carroll story is weird, wacky and fantastical, something not to be missed! We will also be showing a Palme d’Or and BAFTA winning short film THE RED BALLON directed by Albert Lamorisse, capturing the adventures of a boy who befriends a ballon in the streets of Paris!
