Harrogate Food Festival is taking over The Stray this June with incredible street food from independent traders, artisan markets packed with local businesses, live music throughout the weekend and enough food options to make choosing almost impossible 🍔🍕🍟🌮

One minute you're grabbing a coffee and browsing handmade gifts, the next you're watching live chef demonstrations, listening to a UB40 tribute act and somehow finding room for dessert 🍰

Add family entertainment, cookery classes, Viking experiences, live performances and a few cheeky drinks in the sunshine (fingers crossed 🤞) and you've got the perfect summer weekend.

Get those aprons ready because our Kids Cookery Classes are coming to The Stray this June!

From pizza making and cookie decorating to exploding rockets and homemade ice cream, we've packed the weekend with hands-on fun for budding bakers, mini chefs and curious foodies 😏

🍴 SATURDAY & SUNDAY 🍴

🚀 10:30: Fizzy Cocktails & Exploding Rockets (Ages 5+)

🧀 11:30: Cheese Scones (All Ages)

🍕 12:30: Pizza Making (All Ages)

🍪 13:30: Choccy & Sugar Cookies (All Ages)

🍦 14:30: Make Your Own Ice Cream (All Ages)

🚀 15:30: Fizzy Cocktails & Exploding Rockets (Ages 5+)

Whether they're learning new skills, getting a little messy or simply enjoying their creations, these classes are all about fun, flavour and making memories together 💙

This June, we’re bringing something very different to Harrogate Food Festival…

Introducing Viking Heritage Kitchen🔥

A live, interactive experience where food meets history - and things get a little bit wild 😏

Step into the world of the Vikings and discover what they really ate, how they cooked, and how food shaped everyday life hundreds of years ago!

From open-fire cooking to hands-on activities, this is one you don’t just watch… you get involved in 👀

You might find yourself:

🧈 Churning butter
🥖 Making flatbreads
⚔️ Learning how Vikings lived (and survived)

And if you’re lucky…you might even spot something unexpected cooking over the fire 🔥
