**One of My Favourites β€οΈπŸ“Έ**

Every photograph has a story behind it, and some moments stay with you long after you've put the camera away.

This is one of my personal favourites, captured while out enjoying the wonderful wildlife and scenery that Yorkshire has to offer.

For me, photography isn't just about getting the perfect shot. It's also about the experience, the patience and the unexpected moments along the way.

**A Little Moment in the Yorkshire Wildlife 🌿🐦**

One of the things I love about wildlife photography is that there's always something to discover, even when you're watching the smaller birds.

Whether it's a woodpecker searching for food or a bullfinch perched quietly among the branches, these moments are a reminder of just how much wildlife we have around us.

Sometimes it's the simplest encounters that make a memorable photograph. πŸ“Έ

πŸ“Έ **A lovely surprise from Picfair!**

I'm delighted to see my photograph *Kestrel Standing On A Post In The Rain* featured on Picfair's social media.

Wildlife photography doesn't always mean sunshine and blue skies! This kestrel was captured perched on a post in the rain, making for a very atmospheric Yorkshire wildlife photograph.

A big thank you to Picfair for sharing my work. It's much appreciated! πŸ¦…

**Behind the Photograph: A Kingfisher Returning with a Fish πŸ’™πŸŸ**

One of the most rewarding moments in wildlife photography is capturing a kingfisher returning with a fish after a successful dive.

These little birds are incredibly quick, and photographing them in flight takes patience, concentration, and being ready at just the right moment.

I love capturing these natural behaviours, showing not just the beauty of the kingfisher but also a glimpse into its everyday life.

It's moments like this that make all the waiting worthwhile! πŸ“Έ

**Not Every Day Is Sunny for Yorkshire's Wildlife! πŸŒ§οΈπŸ¦…**

Even in the rain, our wildlife has to get on with life!

This kestrel was flapping about on a post in the wet weather, giving me a great opportunity to capture a different side of this beautiful bird.

Wildlife photography doesn't always mean perfect conditions, but sometimes the rain creates the most interesting moments.

**A Kingfisher Sitting Comfortably πŸ’™πŸ¦**

Sometimes, wildlife photography is all about patience and waiting for that perfect moment.

This kingfisher looks perfectly comfortable perched on its branch, giving me a lovely opportunity to capture its beautiful colours and character.

Kingfishers are always a pleasure to photograph, and I never tire of seeing that flash of brilliant blue beside the water.

❀️ **One of My Favourites from Studley Royal** πŸ¦ŒπŸ“Έ

After spending two mornings at Studley Royal Deer Park near Ripon, photographing the Red Deer during the rut, I've come away with thousands of photographs and some wonderful memories.

But every now and then, one photograph stands out from the rest. It might be the expression, the light, a special moment of behaviour, or simply the memory of being there when it happened.

Wildlife photography is about much more than taking a picture. It's about the experience, the patience, and those special moments when everything comes together.

Today, I'm sharing one of my personal favourites from those two mornings. ❀️

**What makes a photograph special to you?** Is it the moment you captured, the animal itself, or the memory of being there? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments. πŸ‘‡

🦌 **A Quieter Moment at Studley Royal** πŸ’š

Not every moment at Studley Royal Deer Park near Ripon is about roaring stags and the excitement of the rut.

Sometimes, it's the quieter moments that catch my eye β€” a beautiful female deer standing peacefully, taking a moment to look around her surroundings.

These are the moments I love capturing, too. Wildlife photography isn't just about action; it's also about appreciating the beauty, character, and calmness of the animals we encounter.

πŸ“Έ Photographed at Studley Royal Deer Park, North Yorkshire.

**Do you prefer the dramatic action shots or these quieter wildlife portraits?** I'd love to know in the comments! πŸ‘‡
