Artist Spotlight:

One of the first female graffiti artists in France, later earned a PhD in Molecular Genetics from New York University in 2008.

In the years that followed, Blanchard began merging scientific enquiry with street art through a series of large-scale public murals.

From in Tasmania to Sheffield’s Cultural Industries Quarter, Blanchard transforms public spaces with her vibrant, cellular visual language.

RedHouse Gallery is honoured to present ‘Drawing From Life: Part One’; a selection of unseen life drawings from the Estate of John Middleton [1940 - 2024].

Born in Sheffield in 1940, Middleton was devoted to painting without compromise. This first collection showcases a profound appreciation for the figurative, beyond his more familiar abstract output, providing a window into the intimate practice of life drawing.

The exhibition is now on view and showing throughout Spring.

Gered Mankowitz: Photographs

Among the most prolific photographers of the last century, rose to prominence in Swinging Sixties London, capturing The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Marianne Faithfull at the precipice of fame.

His latest publication with ACC Art Books acts as a catalogue raisonné, celebrating over 60 years in fine art music portraiture. From Eurythmics to Kate Bush and The Jam to Oasis, Mankowitz’ archive reads like a who’s who of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. 
 
With a forward written by Annie Lennox, ‘Photographs’ includes ‘Jimi Hendrix, Classic Colour’, ‘The Rolling Stones, Between The Buttons’ and ‘Kate Bush, Wuthering Height’ amongst many more iconic images.

In the 1990s, Jill photographed (and mothered!) Oasis on their rapid rise to super stardom. Her portraits remain a testament to the close bond between Jill, Liam and Noel.

Posters from the Chanel series by Andy Warhol.

A leading figure in the Pop Art movement, Warhol is considered one of the most important American artists of the second half of the twentieth century.

These posters, based on Warhol’s original 1985 ‘Ads’ portfolio, were reproduced in 1997 by Chanel in collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation.

Individual posters are available to purchase now and featured in our Modern Masters collection.

Almost eclipsed from art history, Maar was more than Pablo Picasso’s muse. 

A leading figure in Surrealist photography, Maar was primarily a painter. Her study in pointillism, ‘Etude de Pommes,’ is featured in our Modern Masters catalogue.
