HAPPY EASTER WEEKEND
🌿
Hi everyone, just thought I’d pop on for a reflective post. Ok, so with the sun shining and Arlo being very excited it’s Easter and saying he’s had the best Easter holiday, I’ve taken this moment to reflect on what a difference a year can make.
🌿
So last year was very different, this time last year mum was in hospital after having “a blip”. She wasn’t taking her thyroxine and she had developed sepsis which led to her being resuscitated and when she came back to us she had lost all memory and movement and was like a little girl.
🌿
She spent nearly 3 months in hospital and this was incredibly hard for my dad and for my 2 amazing sisters, we then moved her into a care home for recovery in July and at the same time I started a full time job as well as still trying to keep my art business going.
🌿
Even though it’s has been tricky, I absolutely love my new job and they are the most amazing people and so incredibly supportive. My mum is now out of the care home (came home for Christmas) and is making small improvements.
🌿
It has been a rollercoaster year. Juggling being a mum to an amazing little boy and working full time, I’m not taking on as much artwork but when I do it’s such a joy and an honour. Painting is my passion and my first love I guess.
🌿
So what this post about…well I guess it’s for me to read at some point when a may be struggling and to realise what can be achieved and how things can get better.
🌿
If you have read this to the end, my goodness thank you. Hope you have a lovely y weekend, take care of each other!!! Lots of love.
