A drinks reception is one of my favourite parts of any wedding day.

While the photographer is busy capturing those all-important moments, I’ll be mixing and mingling with guests, creating impossible moments, plenty of laughter and reactions just like this one.

This afternoon I’m heading to the beautiful Leez Priory to entertain guests and help keep the celebrations flowing between the ceremony and wedding breakfast.

A glimpse into what close-up magic looks like from my perspective.

Filmed from a camera I was wearing during a wedding drinks reception, you don’t actually see the secrets behind the magic. What you do see are the reactions.

First, a three-phase routine with one of the guests. As each impossible moment unfolds, her expression changes from curiosity, to confusion, to complete bewilderment. By the final reveal, when the magic happens in her own hands, she’s left staring in total disbelief, trying to work out what just happened.

Then it’s her partner’s turn. He simply imagines a card turning over inside a boxed deck. There’s no way he could know what’s about to happen. When the cards are removed and spread through, his thought-of card is revealed as the only one facing the opposite way. The look on both their faces says it all.

No camera tricks. No stooges. Just genuine reactions, impossible moments, and memories they’ll be talking about long after the wedding day is over.

There’s something special about creating moments that people will be talking about long after the event has finished.

I’m delighted to have just been booked to perform at a Freemasons Ladies’ Night, where I’ll be bringing close-up magic, mind reading and plenty of unforgettable moments to guests throughout the evening.

Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, private party or a Ladies’ Night, my goal is always the same: to bring people together, spark conversations and create genuine moments of amazement.

I can’t wait to be part of what promises to be a fantastic evening.

June is shaping up to be a busy and exciting month, taking me all over the country to entertain guests at weddings, corporate events, birthday celebrations, charity functions, care homes and restaurant nights.

From weddings in Althorne, Leez Priory, Buckinghamshire, Letchworth and Stock, to a corporate event for Anglia Ruskin University, a charity event in Essex, care home magic in Kent, and my regular appearances at Belash, it’s fantastic to see the diary filling up with such a variety of events.

Every event is different, but the aim is always the same: creating unforgettable moments, plenty of laughter, and giving people something they’ll be talking about long after the event has finished.

If you’re planning a wedding, corporate event, birthday party, charity fundraiser, restaurant night or private celebration later this year, now is a great time to get in touch. Dates for the second half of the year, especially Christmas party season, are already being snapped up.

It might only be mid May… but today I took my 4th Christmas party booking for December 🎄

Every year it surprises people how early festive dates start getting snapped up. It feels like Christmas is miles away, then suddenly calendars fill up and the prime dates disappear.
