IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT
We would like to confirm publicly that we do not, or have not ever agreed to be a part of “IES AV LTD”
We were made aware that our name was being used as a “backer” for “The Lock”. We got in contact with him and politely asked him to remove our names from any announcements or declarations. At first this did not happen, but we continued to message until it was. We were sent a variety of messages from them claiming he had permission for the project to go ahead and that he had backing from other organisations. Since speaking with Rock School, Harlow Council and GSS Solutions LTD I can confirm that none of these organisations were involved either.
We are a charity that works with young people and we take safeguarding incredibly seriously, as any organisation should. Before agreeing to any sort of partnership or endorsement the following things always happen:
- A meeting with myself to ascertain facts and credibility - this never happened.
- A meeting with our trustees who then conduct their own research into the organisation and report back their findings.
- An exploration into said organisations safeguarding policies and procedures including DBS checks (if relevant) and associations. We are not affiliated to any religious or political group and we are incredibly careful with our partnerships as the safety of our young people is paramount.
If anyone sees any posts with us regarding The Lock please report to us immediately as they do not, and have never had, our permission.
