Esa maravillosa sensación de sentirnos fabulosas sin esfuerzo, ese sentimiento de comernos el mundo y estar preciosas con la cara lavada...sucede poquito, es así 🙋
Por lo general inseguras, cuando nos visita este sentimiento nos elevamos por encima de nosotras mismas y disfrutamos una fuerza de huracán 🌬...
Y baja de nuevo la efervescencia y volvemos a nuestro espacio conocido, la falda enganchada en las bragas y a tropezar con nuestros 2 pies izquierdos. Humanas...😄

Usually insecure, when this feeling visits us we rise above ourselves and enjoy a hurricane force 🌬 ...
And the effervescence lowers again and we return to our familiar space, the skirt tucked in the knickers and tripping over our 2 left feet. Human ...😄

No necesitabamos una pandemia (dicen que previsible) ni una crisis tan dura (que ya estaba) para constatar que el sistema actual adolece por muchos lados.
Tal vez no funciona porque le falta humanidad, una gran obsoleta maquinaria con poco sentido y mucho carbón.

Financial Times.
We did not need a pandemic (they say foreseeable) or such a severe crisis (which was already there) to verify that the current system suffers from many sides.
Perhaps it does not work because it lacks humanity, a great obsolete machinery with little sense and a lot of coal.

"Cuando comencé esta pintura, estaba realmente interesada en la leyenda china antigua del mundo de los espejos y cómo se asemeja, de alguna manera, a nuestro uso de las redes sociales.
Me hizo pensar en cómo lo que vemos en nuestros teléfonos no siempre es un reflejo fiel de quiénes somos realmente y cómo eso puede hacer que los monstruos en nuestras mentes como la inseguridad, los celos y la depresión asomen sus horribles cabezas".

"When I vegan this painting I was really interested in the Ancient Chinese legend of the mirror world and how it parallels, in some ways, our use of social media.
It made me think about how what we see on our phones isn't always a true reflection of who we really are and how that can make the monsters in our minds like insecurity, jealousy and depression rear their ugly litle heads".
