This beautiful Jack Russel, Poppy was completed as an auction prize for the classic car rally last summer.

As a result of the incredible fundraising efforts of the charity, ‘Basingstoke hospital is the first district hospital in the UK to offer the Farapulse Ablation system to patients suffering from abnormal heart rhythms.’

I am so proud to have been a part of the fundraising efforts, and I hope Poppy’s owners love their portrait of her!

This drawing of Twiglet caused a lot of drama!

First, I was asked to draw him by a client as a surprise Christmas present for her husband.

After choosing the perfect photo and making a start on the drawing, the husband asked me to draw Twiglet as a surprise Christmas present for his wife!

I tried to keep the whole thing going on secret - telling the husband that I would do it but wouldn’t be ready for Christmas, and he shouldn’t pay until the new year (while I was already working on the real drawing).

Eventually, the cat was out of the bag, and everyone found out. I tried very hard to make it a Christmas surprise but the odds were stacked against me!

Another drama was that despite being securely packaged, the drawing was damaged in the post! Luckily the framers were able to fix things for the most part but Twiglet really seems to be a troublemaker.

I love seeing my drawings framed and in their new homes. I think the gold frame is so beautiful. This is really one of my favourite drawings I’ve ever done!
