What a joy to find fulfilment in creative collaboration, especially when the I am working with is my beloved who has already shared all the ups and downs of the past 21 years with me.
Thanks also to Dorothy for helping us to establish so much clarity over the weekend. Nothing is as satisfying as creating together and celebrating shared achievements.

A piece I made in Cameroon many years ago. It is called:
'The Time in Africa' or 'Time' for short.
This piece tells many stories, and it borrows from those who went before me to tell my, then, new story.
The frame plays its own part, silently brandishing the marks of the chainsaw that cut the plank from which it was made.
What do you see?
How does it feel?
Do you recognise any concepts?
Do you detect any influences?

Details of a work in progress.
"What do you see through your window?"
The bulk of the work is done. Now I just have to wait until the matt varnish is dry, when I can start working on the wall mounts. My pieces do not have conventional frames, but they are framed by the wall and the room where they find themselves. This one will be displayed four in a square, all a few centimetres apart, like a window.
Originally windowpanes were small and plentiful because that is the way they made the pieces of glass. Even though we can make very large panes of glass today many modern buildings still have their windows divided into smaller panels.
Is the way you look out into the world influenced by the past? Do you see one or many visions? Does what you see bring you joy? Do you think others see what you see?

No, I'm not planning to keep livestock! I'm using timber I have, to make a safe and convenient storage place for all the work I am turning out at the moment. The image living room is getting a bit crowded 😃
