I gathered the first signs of autumn and turned them into a spell

🌻 Harvest Charm is inspired by Circe, goddess, witch and enchantress. She embodies the energy we'll be exploring this month at my Essex studio: ritual, transformation, intuition and becoming the maker of your own magic.

The Enchantress gathers what the season offers her. Herbs, leaves, flowers, fruits, colours, curiosities. She blends potions, creates charms and trusts herself to know what belongs in the spell.

And there’s something in that beyond witchcraft too.

To notice what we’ve gathered.
To recognise what we already hold.
To stop looking outside ourselves for the perfect recipe.
And to create something that is uniquely ours.

Harvest Charm was created as part artwork, part ritual.

When I first started exploring art and witchcraft, I thought the answer was to keep learning.

Another book, tutorial, saved Pinterest board...

I kept looking outside myself for the “right” way to do things.

Eventually, I realised the goal isn't to become the best-informed witch or the most technically skilled artist, it's to discover your own unique blend of art, magic & whimsy.

✨️ One that feels unmistakably YOU.

And that means eventually moving beyond simply consuming and following what everyone else is doing, and learning to create and trust yourself.

That's exactly why I created this roadmap:

When I first became interested in blending art and witchcraft, I genuinely thought I needed to know more before I could begin.

I kept preparing for the creative, magical life I wanted instead of actually living it.

Eventually, I learnt that you don't become a Whimsical Art Witch by waiting until you feel ready.

Following what makes you curious.
Adding a little art, magic & whimsy to ordinary life.

This is exactly why I created Unlock Your Creative Magic ✨️

For years, I thought the next thing I learnt would finally make me feel like a "real" artist or "real" witch.

I'd read about moon phases.
Painting techniques.
Spellwork.
Colour Theory.
Creative prompts.

Then close the book... and still feel like I wasn't ready.

🦋 The turning point wasn't when I learnt more, it was when I started practising.

When I made the messy grimoire page, painted without a tutorial, created my own spells, experimented, played and trusted my intuition.

Books and tutorials are wonderful teachers, but they can only teach you their way.
