This old bath has been near my veg patch for years, hoping to attract frogs to be my trusty pest controllers but to no avail….. until….. I saw that someone had thrown a bag of supermarket watercress in their pond to filter the water and provide shelter for any frogs etc.
I’ve put 2 bags in over the last couple of months and the bath is now alive with little newty things and even a frog.
The question is:
Was there life in the bath before the watercress was added? OR
Was there life actually in the bag of cress??
Seems very suspicious to me 😝

It still does the job and smells divine 💜🤷‍♀️

We took 14 sheep, 8 bottles of home made country wine and one cabbage to HalifaxAgriculturalShow and the cabbage came out on top with 1st prize.
2nd prize for Dill wine
3rd prize for Carrot wine
Highly commended for Rhubarb wine and our own grape variety called Solaris.
Naff all with the sheep but it was great taking part with a huge turnout today at an absolutely fantastic show. Thanks to all those that came to support us
And finally….. I spotted a Schwitzer turbo on a vintage tractor that I possibly designed 30 years ago 🐌

Time to select the wines to enter HalifaxAgriculturalShow this weekend.
We have…….
Pea pod
Carrot
Tomato
Dill
Gooseberry
Calendula
Solaris grapes
Blackcurrant
Rhubarb
All produce is homegrown apart from the fancy tomatoes that were kindly donated by Claire Claire Adams 👏🏻👏🏻
They all taste pretty good to me 🥂🍷🥂🍷
