😍 Our Myths & Mezze events with Barrie Rutter OBE at True North Dean Clough last week were a roaring success.

🎟️ Tickets SOLD OUT in record time, with long waiting lists for each night.

😋 On arrival, guests enjoyed a truly spectacular bespoke Greek Mezze Menu, with generous sharing plates for both Starters & Desserts, and a choice of Main Courses including Lamb Kleftiko, Moussaka and Psari Plaki.

🎭 After dinner, Barrie took to the stage and engagingly entertained with stories of Greek Theatre and anecdotes from his own time performing the classics. Barrie never fails to enthrall and these evenings were no exception.

❤️ We’re taking some time to remember some of the fantastic performances that were brought to life on the unique Viaduct stage as part of our commitment to produce and host the best quality theatre from all across the UK.

🎂 Today, on Shakespeare’s (unofficial) Birthday, we’re remembering “Much Ado About Nothing”, which played at The Viaduct in 2019 and toured nationwide.

🎭 As one of his last productions with Northern Broadsides, Conrad Nelson brought this comedy to life within a post-WWII setting. Starring Isobel Middleton as Beatrice and Robin Simpson as Benedick, this “rich and rewarding” (The Guardian) production had a sizeable 15-strong cast and garnered much critical acclaim as it toured theatres across the UK.

😱 Today we’re remembering “Frankenstein”, which played at The Viaduct in March 2022, from Blackeyed Theatre.

🎭 Described by The Stage as “One of the most innovative, audacious companies working in contemporary English theatre”, Blackeyed Theatre, from Berkshire, brought this challenging yet accessible production to life in our underground theatre. Our audience LOVED this show, giving it rave reviews.

🎵 Whilst we’re extremely limited as to how we can currently use our Theatre, it’s great for us to be able to use other spaces for Theatre & Live Events to keep our Viaduct audiences going.

💨 Today we’re remembering “Blow Down” which played at The Viaduct in March 2023.

🎭 This fantastic show, reflecting living history, was co-produced by Theatre Royal Wakefield and told the story of the closure of the Ferrybridge Power Station and how it affected those around it.

💰 Today we’re remembering “A Force To Be Reckoned With" which played at The Viaduct in October 2023.

🎭 We joined forces with Marsden-based Mikron Theatre Company, for this arresting tale of law and order. Described by the Yorkshire Post as "pacey, energetic and brilliantly performed", this show was packed full of brilliant songs and plenty of laughs and was a wonderful celebration of women in the police.

🎭 This critically-acclaimed, hilarious political satire was cleverly adapted to Brexit Britain by Deborah McAndrew from Dario Fo’s original, and directed by Conrad Nelson as part of his renowned 25 year association with Northern Broadsides.
