We were delighted to be able to bring you Sunny Dancer last month for free (if you missed it, you'll have another chance later this month!), courtesy of the British Film Institute and the National Lottery's Escapes.

We're stoked to be able to bring you another film absolutely free of charge next Monday 14th September, and this time it's the turn of the rather extraordinary The Cycle of Love.

Charting the true story of PK Mahanandia, who cycled from Delhi to Borås, Sweden, to be reunited with his true love, The Cycle of Love reminds us that human connection is real, powerful, and worth choosing.

The 20th Hailsham Festival is finally upon us, and we have a fantastic week for you!

An unlikely friendship is struck between a small grieving boy and a group of soon-to-be homeless nuns, leading them to an adventure through the gorgeous mountains of New Zealand.

Will Brian find the spirit of his mother? Can the convent be saved? Find out in Holy Days from Tuesday to Thursday at the Pavilion.

On Friday evening, the festival commences, opening with a fittingly fabulous film screening of cult musical, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, starring the late and great Tim Curry in possibly his most well-known role, Dr Frank N' Furter.

Stay for the night, or maybe a bite (well, a complimentary cocktail and a quiz) in your finest Frankery (or as your favourite character!) there will be a prize for the best dressed, so break out the sequins!

On Saturday, we have an absolutely spellbinding performance from Mark Farrelly as Derek Jarman in Jarman (nominated for Best Solo Performance in a Play at the 2023 Offies).

Jarman’s works include taboo-breaking films like Sebastiane, Jubilee and Caravaggio, pop videos for the Pet Shop Boys (It’s A Sin and Rent), his extraordinary borderless garden in Dungeness, his shocking last paintings, and his unforgettable final film Blue, consisting of a single continuous frame of blue and chronicling what it’s like to lose your sight…but never your artistic vision.

Grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, Robin Hood finds himself gravely injured after a battle he thought would be his last. In the hands of a mysterious woman, he is offered a chance at salvation.

What happens when your neighbour goes completely wild?

The next in our "Our Earth on Screen" season is this charming documentary about Derek and Derek, two neighbouring farmers from Devon, with wildly different approaches to farming and working the land.

In equal parts hilarious and moving, the film shines a light on the vital debate surrounding the future of rural Britain, encouraging conversation around how farming and nature restoration might work together.

What a great loss we all felt at the passing of the remarkable Tim Curry last week.

Whether you knew him as Dr Frank N Furter, Pennywise, Rooster, Wadsworth, Darkness or any of the other roles he made his own, he was absolutely one of a kind.

On the 11th of September, you can enjoy possibly his most iconic role in The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Pavilion.

It's astounding, and so was he.

We are proud to support locas filmmakers and are delighted to be hosting the latest action-packed thriller from Sh**un Films, Knightfall.

Starring Ian Ogilvy (We Still Kill The Old Way), Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott (Helloween), Nick Moran (Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels) and Geoffrey Moore, son of 007 icon Sir Roger Moore.

MI5 analyst Ros Knight (Sothcott) finds herself with a target on her back after a botched black ops raid lead by her charismatic boyfriend Hugh (Moore) ends in death and leaves her with the only key to a deadly bioweapon. Doggedly pursued by deadly, ruthless mercenaries she heads to the only possible sanctuary: the isolated home of her estranged father, legendary former spy-catcher Charles Knight (Ogilvy).

Alice, a brilliant novelist, despises the hollow contemporary mantras of kindness and respect. But the bolder she becomes in speaking out, the more colleagues avoid her, and the more her personal relationships begin to fracture.

As she challenges fashionable ideas and lends her voice to causes others are afraid to touch, she faces intense criticism and backlash. Alice will soon learn the price she must pay as an artist and as a woman for daring to speak her mind.

Award-winner Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) is the Misanthrope in Martin Crimp’s (Cyrano de Bergerac) cutting new version of Molière’s dark comedy, directed by National Theatre Director Indhu Rubasingham (The Father and the Assassin).

This National Theatre Live production screens at the Pavilion from 22nd - 27th September.
