Artist Spotlight - Beyond Borders💡💫
Shirley Archibald
Shirley's work examines the persecution of witches, the creation of the hag myth - crone, outsider - as a site of resistance and reclamation. She explores how place holds memory and how contemporary practice can respond to histories of erasure, persecution & silence.
Her striking works are created using mixed media and materials including vintage sewing patterns, earth, paint and latex.
