Sessions and Sail is a musical themed voyage on the stunning coast of Scotland, the North Isles, and Donegal. The trip combines square-rig sailing with musical tuition, performances, workshops and sessions, led by renowned musicians. Players of traditional music, whether beginner, intermediate or advanced standard are encouraged to sail with us as we embark on a journey of tunes, songs and sailing.

The Skeklers were out in Fetlar last night! 😱👀

Skekling is an old Shetland folk tradition where a person disguised in a distinctive straw costume would go around houses dancing to fiddle music.

Due to a no-show, we have a last-minute Bursary place available on our Simmer Dim B voyage, setting sail from Lerwick today (Sunday 21st June) and finishing in Scalloway on Saturday 27th.

If that’s super-short notice, you could also join us in Vidlin tonight or tomorrow morning...

This is a superb opportunity for a young musician (18 and over) - get in touch if you can take up this opportunity, or share if you know somebody who could benefit!
