Hello! I've had a few new lately so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Gemma and I run SEN Art Co . I've been a SEN teacher for many years and love my job. I set up SEN Art Co to create a safe, supportive space where creativity can help unlock potential. Through engaging, hands-on activities, the workshops help children build confidence, improve communication and social skills, and express themselves in ways that go beyond words. For families, the sessions offer a sense of community and reassurance, knowing their children are in a nurturing environment that understands their needs. The kettle is always on too 😊

My next session is Saturday 28th June at 11am at Newcomen Methodist Church in Redcar. Just message me for any more information.

New exciting art workshop now available to book! This is a great opportunity for any budding young artist 🎨🖌

We are going to create art work to go on display in the hall at Thornaby methodist church. It will be there for everyone to see that uses the space. We will be making a flock of birds inspired by a fantastic artist called Clare Youngs 🕊

May half term - Tuesday 27th May - 11am at Thornaby methodist church.

It was the last of our Easter workshops today in Thornaby. Everyone who came did such an amazing job! The art work made was beautiful 😁💜

The next workshops will be around May half term. More details to follow soon.

I'm also planning a joint session with a fantastic specialist sleep consultant: the aim is for parents to chat and get advice, while your young people create art with me. If this is something you would be interested in pop me a message 😊

Here are a few photos from our lovely Easter Art workshop in Middlesbrough today.

We created some shaving foam marbled Easter eggs, we made chicks with lolly sticks, and painted spring flower pictures with special flower stamps. We'll done everyone!
