Super night last night with two great sets from Edwina Hayes. An entertaining mix of songs and stories in her own unique style . Thanks our club stalwart performers Martin, Brian. Ray,Trish, Beth, Tony and Brian. Martin again as MC, also Cath and Anne on raffle, door and admin.

The funeral of Stan Gee will be held on Thursday 18th of June at 12pm at Redcar Cemetery on Redcar Lane.

Stan's daughter Sally invites anyone who wishes to remember Stan to join the family for the graveside service at the Cemetery and/or at The Loftus Club afterwards.

Please feel free to bring instruments and your voices to remember him.

If you know Sally, please tell her if you plan to be there. Alternatively, message us at The Cutty Wren Folk Club and we'll pass on names to Sally so she knows how many people to expect.

Excellent night last night with our guests Ian Bruce and Kev Green. A superb range of songs with great arrangements, harmonies, music and percussion. Well supported by or local stars. Thanks to all who making it such an enjoyable night

Unfortunately MARIAN BRADFIELD has had a fall and her injuries mean she wont be able to perform for us in May. We wish her a speedy recovery and hope we can see her at the club in the future, Meanwhile we will host a SINGAROUND on MAY 31st. Still looking forward to IAN BRUCE and KEV GREEN on Sunday 10th.

Ian Bruce is one of Scotland’s finest singers. He is one of the best interpreters of traditional songs and his performances are always hugely entertaining. So when he told me he would be bringing Kevin along as a duo my first thought was-why? But I quickly realised from their first song how well their voices work together and complement each other. They put on a first class show and left our audience shouting for more.
