Only a few spaces left for my last Vision Board Workshop of the year.

You don't have to leave it til the New Year to put plans in place for the coming year...just imagine 5 hours of calm, relaxing, contemplatative time away from your busy life to just focus on what it is that you really want to achieve over the next year.

We all have hopes, desires, dreams, aspirations....this is your time to give yourself permission to put that vision for your future down on paper and then creatively on a board that you can then take home...that board will push you towards achieving those aspirations and goals...

I found this online a few weeks ago and I am sorry that I can't find who I should credit, buts this is brilliant, thank you for sharing. I remember my health taking a backseat a few times in my past life, but these days its priority.

Today is World Mental Health Day. I photographed this page from a little gratitude journal many months ago (which I can't find otherwise I would have given it credit!) as I swear by exercise as a way to improve mood and feelings of happiness, it certainly worked for me and got me out of a very grey period along with supportive friends. Being out in nature also helps massively.

Have a good think about anybody you might know who is struggling right now, in a difficult situation or even you might suspect is putting on a brave face.
๐Ÿง 
Just turning up is the best thing to do (or phone them)as the last thing they would want is that but the best thing to do is to talk about it and for you to listen.
๐Ÿง 
If they have mentioned feeling low, grey, black, fuddled, muddled or just unhappy, they are very unlikely to reach out so it's for us in a good mental state to be kind, thoughtful and think of others.

This lovely bed and bedroom setup at reminded me about an amazing book I read last year and the massive importance for us to sleep 7 to 9 hours a night so that our brains can literally be washed and cleansed of toxins.

During sleep, the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain increases dramatically, washing away harmful waste proteins that build up between brain cells during waking hours, a scientific study found by Nedergaard and a team of scientists.
๐Ÿง 
Important to note that if we drink alchohol or have caffeine after midday we are less likely to have proper REM sleep, so it should be avoided. (I know!!!)

If you have a chance I urge you to read "Why We Sleep" by Professor Matthew Walker which now sits in my top 5 favourite books.

Matthew Walker is Professor of Neuroscience & Psychology at University of California, Berkeley and has been studying sleep for 20 years. He demonstrates in this book through his research the links to sleep (lack of) and mental health issues, weight gain and other health issues which include alzeimers......it's an eye opening read. "Emerging from this research renaissance is an unequivocal message:sleep is the single most effective thing we can do to reset our brain and body health each day"

This is a wonderful Nelson Mandela quote which I wanted to post earlier today.

I had the most wonderful afternoon today leading another Vision Board Workshop. I remember my nerves ahead of the first one I ever ran back in Feb 18 and how impossible it had seemed in the run up but how wonderful the actual day was in the end.
๐Ÿง 
However scary something seems.....I PROMISE YOU the feeling you will have afterwards is so worth stepping off that cliff of worry, anxiety, fear and self-doubt for.....now I am getting better at stepping out of my comfort zone because it grows me as a person massively every time I do it....think goosebumps....I want to encourage, support and motivate everybody to do something that stretches them and pushes them towards a different kind of life and existence......Overcome that fear, you can do it..... (what makes you scared?)..you will feel incredible...I PROMISE.....

Today I attended a fantastic session run by of .co which is a great engine for collaboration, peer-to-peer support and community spirit. It connects aspiring entrepreneurs to the people, resources and skills they need to level up and succeed. Check it out...it is a lovely community.

If you have a fuddled, muddled head and mind and need to get some clarity then come along to my Vision Board workshop next weekend. It properly feels like autumn today don't you think? Got me thinking. I have been hiding, holding something back all this time. It's something that perhaps holds other people back because they feel like they are different, unconventional, fit outside the box.....
๐Ÿง 
So today I wanted to embrace and rejoice my single life and encourage others that it is and can be wonderful and this is just a part of me right now or part of you and there is nothing wrong with that...you are just as special and important as anyone else.
๐Ÿง 
And if you are also like me and missed the boat of opportunity of motherhood (or fatherhood for that matter) for whatever reason, I hug you.....Lara๐Ÿ’•x
