Booking terms - -- - -- - --
We're continuing to host shows in 2016/2017 and would love you to play one of our shows! We’re primarily interested in supporting and hearing from local music creators in Surrey and surrounding areas but are also open to acts from further afield. We hold our events at small capacity venues like The Star in Guildford (100 cap). We’ll also be running shows out of Camberley in the future and larger venues can be arranged. Please read our policies below and get in touch if you’re interested in playing our events. Our Event Policies (For local acts)
-Most of our events are pre-sale ticket based. But we’ve made it as minimal a barrier as possible. If you accept our invite to play a pencilled in date we’ll send you an agreed amount of tickets. (How ever many you think you can shift).
-Your band must sell 8 of the tickets at £4 each. This £32 must be paid to us within two weeks of you receiving the tickets. (Only online payments accepted e.g. paypal). If you can’t shift the tickets in this time we’ll offer the slot to the next band. Nobody is written off and you’re welcome to try again for a future show. (These terms are for Sunday eve. If you’re offered to play a peak night event fri/sat, or at a different venue, higher ticket pre-sales may be requested).
++++++++If you pay the ticket money but don't actually sell the tickets, meaning no one rocks up to watch you on the night, it's less likely you'll be asked to play again in the future. But no one will pull your set or anything silly like that!
-You can sell your remaining tickets for any amount you like. The money you make is yours. Any surplus tickets should be returned to us on the night of the event.
-Door entry on the night is also £4. A tally will be taken on the door with respects to each bands draw. 70% of the take will be divided between the bands in accordance with the tally. 30% will be kept by the house. You’ll be paid this amount within the first few days following the gig via online payment. NOT on the night.
-No refunds on the ticket sales if you pull out. If YOUR band has to cancel then you eat the loss. However, the tickets your fans bought will be useable at future UE events.
-If WE have to cancel then you’ll receive a full refund of the ticket money. Any paid promotion you do is on your own back, as is ours. Our Event Policies (For acts further afield)
-We try to reserve at least one slot a night for a non-local act. The terms remain largely the same, though it’s possible to reduce the amount of tickets you’d need to sell upfront. We want to encourage more promoters, all over the place, to find slots for more non-local bands. We reserve the right to change our policies & prices at any time. Please make sure you are in agreement with these terms before contacting us for a show.
