Our 6-week pottery course takes you through the whole process — from learning to throw on the wheel, through trimming and refining your pieces, to decorating and glazing your finished pots.

It’s designed for complete beginners, so you don’t need any experience. We keep the groups small, which means plenty of individual teaching, time on the wheel and space to actually get stuck in.

By the end, you’ll have made your own collection of finished, glazed ceramics — as well as the skills and knowledge to continue your ceramic journey.

Huge thanks to everyone who came to Guildford Pottery’s first Raku Workshop at Lockwood Studios 🔥

The Courtyard is our outdoor firing space, where we’ll be hosting workshops exploring a whole variety of alternative firing techniques.

Because when you introduce fire, fuel and organic materials into ceramics, things start to get wEiRd and FUNKY.

Raku. Horsehair. Naked Raku. Obvara. Wood. Salt. Smoke. Pit firing. 🔥

More fire. More smoke. More unpredictable pots.

Join us at GuildfordPottery.com and come make something weird with us.

✨ The Magic After You Leave

The magic doesn’t stop when you leave the studio — that’s when your pot begins its next chapter.

You create the first part of the magic with your own hands. Then, behind the scenes, we carefully dry, fire, glaze and fire your pieces again. Glazing is one of the most important steps — it’s where colour, texture and character begin to come alive.

There’s a lot of work happening behind the scenes to bring your creations home to you. You create the magic; we help bring it to life. ✨

Come throw with us 🏺✨

There’s something magical about watching a lump of clay slowly become something you can actually use.

Join us at the wheel, get your hands messy, and make your very own cup from scratch. No experience needed — just come ready to play with clay. 🤍

Come throw with us and make a little magic.

Not only are they visually stunning, capturing the essence of spring, but they also evoke thoughts of being discovered by archaeologists in the future, revealing the flora of Cobham in the 2000s 😂.
